"RISK WARNING: YOUR CAPITAL MIGHT BE AT RISK"

"CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Between 74-89% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money."

An open-high-low-close chart (also OHLC) is a type of chart typically used to illustrate movements in the price of a financial instrument over time. Each vertical line on the chart shows the price range (the highest and lowest prices) over one unit of time, e.g., one day or one hour. OHLC, or open-high-low-close, charts are a type of bar chart that shows open, high, low, and closing prices.

Select the data range, then click Insert Other Charts Volume-Open-High-Low-Close stock chart. See screenshot: Tip: In Excel 2013, click Insert See All Charts arrow, then in the Insert Chart dialog, select Stock Volume-Open-High-Low-Close stock chart under All Charts tab, and click OK to close this dialog. The opening price is the price at which a security first trades upon the opening of an exchange on a trading day; for example, the New York Stock Exchange opens at precisely 9:30 a.m. Eastern time. The price of the first trade for any listed stock is its daily opening price.

A Typical Line Chart. A line chart is the most basic and simplest type of stock charts that are used in technical analysis. The line chart is also called a close-only chart as it plots the closing price of the underlying security, with a line connecting the dots formed by the close price. A 52-week high/low is the highest and lowest price that a stock has traded at during the previous year. It is a technical indicator used by some traders and investors who view the 52-week high or low as an important factor in determining a stock's current value and predicting future price movement.

An open-high-low-close chart (also OHLC) is a type of chart typically used to illustrate movements in the price of a financial instrument over time. Each vertical line on the chart shows the price range (the highest and lowest prices) over one unit of time, e.g., one day or one hour. The word “securities” refers to any tradable financial instrument or quantifiable index such as stocks, bonds, commodities, futures or market indices. Any security with price data over a period of time can be used to form a chart for analysis.

The closing price is the final price at which a security is traded on a given trading day. The closing price represents the most up-to-date valuation of a security until trading commences again on the next trading day. DEFINITION of 'Close' The close is the end of a trading session in the financial markets when the markets close. It can also refer to the process of exiting a trade or the final procedure in a financial transaction in which contract documents are signed and recorded.

The price of a security at the beginning of a day of trading on the stock market. When a stock exchange opens, each security has an initial trading price at which it is bought (and sold) on the first trade of the day. Quite often, the security's open price will differ from its closing price of the day before.
